Poem of Al Gore

Finally, former US Vice President Al Gore has gone to write poems. He has in his poem written or sang about climate change. In his poem he has predicted how the world will suffer, if leaders fail to act on rising carbon dioxide emissions.

The poem is featured in Al Gore's new book, "Our Choice- A plan to solve the climate crisis."

Al Gore did this, since his editor did not allow him to publish about the consequences of uncontrolled global warming in his book.

The poem in full that he wrote is below:

"One thin September soon
A floating continent disappears
In midnight sun

Vapors rise as
Fever settles on an acid sea
Neptune's bones dissolve

Snow glides from the mountain
Ice fathers floods for a season
A hard rain comes quickly
Then dirt is parched
Kindling is placed in the forest
For the lightning's celebration
Unknown creatures
Take their leave, unmourned
Horsemen ready their stirrups
Passion seeks heroes and friends
The bell of the city
On the hill is rung
The shepherd cries
The hour of choosing has arrived."
